Dairyland Programming Competition
During my senior year at Marquette, I joined an ambitious project assisting the Marquette ACM student chapter with the annual Wisconsin Dairyland Programming Competition — a one-day event hosting over 500 high school students who come to campus to code solutions on our self-hosted platform. My main contribution was developing Abacus, the testing platform that powered the entire competition. It handled team registration, sign-ins, timed submissions, question clarifications, and live judging — all hosted on our own campus servers.
2023-2024
Through this experience, I gained hands-on knowledge in frontend and backend development, load balancing, and server maintenance using tools like Docker, Apache, and Kubernetes. It was also my first deep dive into React, which quickly became a cornerstone of my development skill set. To top it all off, my t-shirt design was chosen for both the 2024 and 2025 competitions — printed on over 500 shirts distributed to every participating student.

Bad For Me: A Short Film
Bad for Me was a passion project directed by my good friend, Grace Koziol — a short film set in vintage America that tells the story of a controlling husband and a young woman facing hardship. I eagerly joined the team to help lead the sound design and editing, while also creating the film’s main poster, which allowed me to further refine my visual design skills.
On the audio side, I drew heavily from my microphone and acoustics knowledge, carefully positioning boom mics to maintain natural sound without visual interference. My work especially stood out during the dream sequence, where I was able to let my imagination run free, blending surreal tones and ambient textures to create a vivid, sensory experience through sound.
2023-2024
The project was a great success — Grace loved the poster, and my sound design earned multiple compliments from viewers and faculty alike during presentation day. To top it off, Bad for Me went on to receive $10K in funding for development into a future feature-length film.

MuSample: A Platform For Music Artists
For my Senior Design Project, I collaborated with a team of five fellow students to build out a full software solution for a Milwaukee-based startup founded by Aichelle White. Her vision was to create an online platform for music artists — a space to connect, learn, and share their passion with the world. Branded as “a LinkedIn for music artists,” the concept guided our development process from an initial Figma prototype to a fully functional WordPress-hosted website.
2024
We developed a custom WordPress theme tailored for usability, allowing users to register as artists or consultants, create personalized dashboards, post content, take or offer lessons, listen to podcasts, explore courses, and even discover and purchase event tickets. Our team’s careful integration of these features fostered a vibrant ecosystem for artists, consultants, and listeners alike — promoting creativity, collaboration, and community within the music world.
